As some of you may remember when we lost our wonderful Queen, I created a small image in response, that image depicted her Majesty’s most beloved breed the corgi dog with a tear in its eye, looking upon the Royal Crown with a tennis ball atop, this image soon gained the name ‘the crying corgi‘ much to my utter astonishment - this little heartfelt image was shared far and wide and soon went viral around the world.
Amongst all of the likes and shares, my little old corgi image would be the only thing Zara and Mike Tindal would share during the whole of the official state mourning period - what an honour indeed!
After being in contact with Zara and Mike I soon found out that our Queen was indeed, the patron of the wonderful Dogs Trust so I knew exactly what to do, and we agreed that to auction the artwork for the Dogs Trust would be the best possible idea.
A short, while later, a sum of nearly £9000 was raised and donated to the dogs trust and myself and the trust have remained in contact ever since - fast forward to 2024 now settled in a new home with a new studio. I had the joy of having a meeting with Paul, one of the regional managers from the Dogs Trust I’m overjoyed to be able to announce that I have been invited to work alongside the trust as a corporate friend. This is not only the most exciting wonderful news for me, but it is incredible news for you YOU my perfect collectors as this means I not only get to continue doing what I love. I also get to help one of my most favourite causes whilst spreading the love on just how important the Dogs Trust truly is.
I am so thrilled to be able to tell you all that every time you invest in an artwork from me, be it an original or a limited edition print that features a dog, a huge 20% of the price you pay will go directly to the dogs trust and I can’t express to you just how much incredible work that will do!
So… To truly get this ball rolling and to help out all the pups as much as we can I’m doing an introductory offer on all large pet portraits. This size is usually £1125, but for a limited time will be just £795. This can be a commission of your own beloved pet or even a commission involving my own Buddyscruff dog character. It’s entirely up to you! Also I have created this gorgeous Buddyscruff limited edition print ‘Snooze’ - again as with all dog related orders - 20% of the price you pay will go directly to the Dogs Trust - all details regarding ‘Snooze’ can be found in the shop section of this website.
So that’s my awesome amazing news, little old me engaging with the Royals and teaming up with the wonderful Dogs Trust - whoever would’ve thought a little corgi doodle could lead to such magical things?! I know it goes without saying, (probably because I’m forever saying it!!.. BUT!) As always and ever thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. I simply wouldn’t be at this stage in my artistic career if it wasn’t for all of your support from the highest bidder on the corgi to the person that simply drops a like here and there, I adore every last one of you and I simply couldn’t do any of this without you! Your support is and will continue to be everything!
Thankyou Lovers! X
